Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as Air Arabia's ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This role prioritizes enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate will be prepared and capable of operating efficiently, aligning with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, adhering to proper grooming standards, maintaining fitness, and complying with all legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Provides passengers with clear instructions on safety procedures, prioritizing their well-being and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately recording required information in the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Consistently delivers exceptional customer service, addressing passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other applicable instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card payments for individual sales and donations managed by the Cabin Crew member.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before departure.
- Ensures a smooth and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures. Provides objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reports any problems or discrepancies during the flight, and closes and seals duty-free containers.
- Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and undertakes the responsibilities of the "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains essential professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and ensuring their license is up-to-date.
Important Requirements
- Age: 20-30 years for candidates without previous experience as Cabin Crew; up to 33 years for Experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be proportional to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is a plus.
- Fit to fly with good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Ability to contribute effectively and deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
