Role Summary
The Cabin Crew Member serves as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. The Cabin Crew Member maintains peak readiness, fitness, and productivity, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Maintains impeccable attendance, grooming standards, fitness, and legal compliance for all assigned flights.
- Attends pre-flight briefings to fully understand flight details, role assignments, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Provides clear and concise safety instructions to passengers, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers necessary first aid to passengers with expertise and care.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service:
- Warmly welcomes passengers, assisting with boarding procedures, and accurately records necessary data in the aircraft logbook, aligning with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted guidelines.
- Offers consistently exceptional customer service by attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and specific needs.
- Identifies and provides assistance to passengers experiencing stress or challenges, adhering to all corresponding policies and procedures as outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by enthusiastically promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets effectively.
- Ensures all cash and credit card payments for sales and donations are handled accurately and securely.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Performs meticulous pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other essential equipment, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as needed.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations, and that sufficient re-catering and duty-free products are provided before each flight.
- Guarantees a smooth and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with company policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any issues or discrepancies, and ensuring the proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Keeps the Cabin Supervisor informed on passenger conduct and assumes the role of 'Cabin Supervisor' as delegated by the Captain.
- Maintains a high level of professional and safety knowledge through continuous recurrent trainings, emergency procedure training, and educational workshops, and by ensuring current license validity.
- Contributes to overall team success by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: 20 to 30 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience; up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be proportional to age and height.
- Clear complexion, free of visible marks or tattoos while in uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Competent in swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; Diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is advantageous.
- Fit to fly with a good general health profile; free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is highly valued.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible shift patterns and extended hours.
- Demonstrates high adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
