About the Role

This role is for a First Officer to join an airline based in an undisclosed location. The First Officer will support the Captain in ensuring the safety, security, and efficiency of all assigned flights, adhering strictly to the airline's Operational Manual and civil aviation authority regulations. The position involves monitoring flight progress, assisting with flight management, and maintaining detailed flight records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform duties as 'Pilot Flying' or 'Pilot Monitoring', assisting the Captain in flight deck management, monitoring flight progress, system efficiency, and crew performance.
• Operate the assigned aircraft safely, efficiently, and with passenger comfort as a priority, when instructed or required.
• Conduct flights in strict accordance with the Airline’s Operations Manual and relevant regulations, applying procedures for safe and smooth aircraft operation.
• Coordinate with the Captain and Dispatch Team to ensure crew readiness and provide necessary flight information.
• Complete required checks, records, and documentation, including take-off data, fuel requirements, and flight plans.
• Utilise company systems for data recording, such as logbooks and CFP, verifying data and obtaining Captain’s signature.
• Supervise aircraft fuelling at locations lacking qualified personnel, ensuring proper fuel distribution.
• Alert the Captain to any safety-related irregularities and assist in applying necessary actions and emergency procedures.
• Undertake ground-based tasks, such as Safety or Security Officer, as directed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and attend planned training.
• Ensure prescribed manuals, charts, and forms are maintained and complied with by flight crew.
• Assist the Captain in completing voyage reports, aircraft flight logs, and safety reports.

Requirements

• Appropriate ATPL License or a CPL License with Frozen ATPL.
• Successful completion of the technical/psychometric assessment for Second Officer (Co-Pilots).
• Successful completion of the Medical Fitness check-up for Second Officers (Co-Pilots).
• Minimum of 1500 hours of flying experience.
• Proficiency in aircraft systems and Microsoft Office.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.
• Proficiency in English Language.
• Experience with aircraft systems and operating procedures.
• Ability to apply policies, procedures, and manuals as per approved standards.
• Capability to perform under heavy work schedules and in changing environments.
• Composed, self-confident, and focused demeanour for handling emergencies.
• Proven skills in data analysis, irregularity identification, and solution recommendation.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills with a cost-oriented approach.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications (Advantageous)

• Formal qualification in safety and emergency response.
• Basic Airport, security procedures, and regulations training.
• Crew Resource Management Training.
• IATA principles & standards relating to security.
• Experience with Airbus A320.
• Experience with low-cost airlines.
• Knowledge and exposure to handle security or safety-related roles.
• Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices.
• Proficiency in Arabic and French Languages.
