Job Overview and Recruitment Roadshow

The Air Arabia Group, supporting operations for Fly Jinnah, invites applications from highly motivated and experienced Pakistani A320 First Officers. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic regional airline on a long-term, undetermined period contract.

Mandatory Recruitment Event

The Company is hosting a dedicated recruitment roadshow in Pakistan for the assessment and selection of eligible candidates. Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

Prospective First Officers must satisfy the following stringent professional and licensing requirements:

  • Nationality and Age: Pakistani National, maximum age of 47 years.
  • License: Valid CPL/ATPL License.
  • Type Rating: Current A320 Type Rated.
  • License Validity: Valid A320 Type Rating and Instrument Rating (IR) on the license with a minimum of two months validity at the time of joining.
  • Medical and Language: Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate and valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or above.
  • Minimum Flying Hours: A minimum of 2,000 civil commercial jet operational hours.
  • A320 Experience: At least 800 hours as Second in Command (SIC) on the A320 family aircraft.
  • Recency: Experience operating the A320 family aircraft within the last 12 months.

Comprehensive Compensation and Emoluments (Figures in PKR)

The position is offered under an undetermined period contract and provides a highly competitive, structured remuneration package based on experience slabs:

Fixed Salary Structure

The fixed monthly salary is determined by total flying hours (Airbus family hours plus factored Boeing hours):

Boeing Experience Factor: For salary determination, Captains and First Officers with prior Boeing experience will have their relevant Boeing flying hours factored, capped at a maximum of 3,000 hours. All Airbus family hours (A320/321/330) are added on top of the calculated factored Boeing experience.

Allowances and Variable Pay

  • Seniority Allowance: First Officers receive a Seniority Allowance of PKR 50,000 per month, payable from the anniversary date of joining. This allowance increases annually, excluding periods of unpaid leave, until it reaches a maximum cap of PKR 150,000 per month.
  • Command Upgrade Allowance: An allowance of PKR 250,000 per month is paid once the First Officer crosses 3,500 hours on the A320 family, signs the commitment letter, and successfully completes the prerequisites for Command training (including a minimum of two Operating Proficiency Checks (OPCs) after the initial skill test).
  • Insurance Premium Deduction: A deduction of PKR 5,000 per month applies toward the insurance premium.
  • Fuel Card Benefit: Pilots with 800+ hours on the A320 will be provided with a pre-paid fuel card, subject to a maximum expense limit of PKR 30,000 per month.
  • SIM Card Benefit: Pilots with 800+ hours on the A320 receive a post-paid SIM card with a maximum monthly limit of PKR 5,000. Usage exceeding this limit will be deducted from the monthly salary.

Flying Variable Pay

Variable pay is calculated based on credit block hours:

  • Duty Hour Pay: Every actual duty hour (from Sign-in to Sign-out) is compensated at PKR 1,000.
  • Night Flight Multiplier: Credit hours for night flights (departures between 18:30 and 06:29 Local time) are paid at 1.3 times the standard credit block hour allowance.
  • Day Flight Multiplier: Credit hours for day flights are paid at 1 time the standard credit block hour allowance.
  • Working During Off Days: Compensation of PKR 10,000 is provided, in addition to the Flying Allowance, if the pilot is called for duty on a rostered day off.

End of Service and Meal Provisions

  • End of Service Gratuity: For every 12 months of completed service, gratuity equivalent to one month’s Fixed Gross Salary (including Fixed Flying allowance) is provided.
  • On Board Meal: Complimentary meals are provided for the operating crew.

Unlimited Standby Tickets

Unlimited standby travel is provided on the Air Arabia Group network based on marital status:

Annual Free Firm Ticket

Employees who have successfully completed six months of service are entitled to one annual free firm ticket on the Air Arabia / Fly Jinnah network for themselves and their nominees:

MYID Travel Benefit

Access to MYID travel for rebated tickets on other airlines is granted upon completion of 180 days of service, as per the established policy. This benefit is restricted to the employee, spouse, and children (below 23 years). Access is deactivated upon separation from the organization.

Paid Leave

The employee is entitled to 30 calendar days of paid leave per annum.
