The Role: First Officer
ASL Aviation Holdings is seeking a skilled and dedicated First Officer to join its flight operations team. The First Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Commander to ensure the safe and efficient conduct of each flight. In the event of the Commander's incapacitation, the First Officer assumes command responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities
- Executing allocated duties concerning the flight in strict adherence to Company Standard Operating Procedures, encompassing specific aircraft type procedures, limitations, and performance requirements.
- Actively contributing to fostering an environment that promotes strong understanding and cooperation among all crew members.
- Advising the Commander proactively if, in the First Officer's professional opinion, any aspect of the flight preparation appears to have been overlooked.
- Confirming the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent verification of both geographical position and safe terrain clearance. The First Officer is expected to volunteer pertinent advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to enhance the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Seeking and obtaining necessary information or clarification from the Commander to effectively fulfil the First Officer function.
- Maintaining the highest personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the Company.
- Supporting the Commander through exemplary professional conduct, contributing to the development and maintenance of high standards of professional expertise and morale within the crew.
- Ensuring the validity of the operational flight plan and filing the Air Traffic Services Flight Plan with the appropriate Authority when required. When utilising stored plans, verifying that the correct plan has been activated.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 500 hours total flight time.
- Possession of a valid EASA License.
- Most recent flight on A330 must be within the last 12 months.
- ICAO level 4 English proficiency is required.
- Must hold an EU passport.
- Must be eligible to live and work within the EU.
- Possession of a valid EASA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Currently qualified and current on the A330 type, holding a valid Type Rating and Proficiency Check.
- No history of accidents.
