Position Summary
This is a full-time Pilot in Command (PIC) position for a BE-400 Nextant, ideally based in or around Traverse City, Michigan. The PIC will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering to all FAA regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining PIC authority and ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft, fostering effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) with the Second in Command (SIC).
- Conducting pre-flight inspections to confirm airworthiness, complete documentation, and proper aircraft provisioning.
- Making informed decisions regarding flight initiation, delays, or cancellations based on safety considerations.
- Delivering thorough passenger briefings, ensuring their comfort and understanding of safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with Multi-Engine privileges (mandatory).
- BE-400 type rating (highly preferred).
- Minimum flight time requirements (preferred):
- 1000 hours BE-400
- 3000 hours Total Time
- 1500 hours Pilot-in-Command
- 500 hours Multi-Engine Pilot in Command
- 500 hours Turbine
- 250 hours Jet
- Successful completion of company and TSA background checks (mandatory).
- Valid FAA Medical Certificate (mandatory).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and CRM skills (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, navigation equipment, FARs, and ATC procedures.
- A Bachelor's degree in aviation, aeronautical engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Foreign language fluency, experience with diverse aircraft types, and expertise in handling challenging weather conditions are considered valuable assets.

Compensation
- PIC: $85,000 - $150,000 per year (salary + bonus), commensurate with experience.
- Higher compensation rates are available based on experience and qualifications.
