Position Summary
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly qualified and professional Citation CJ3 Captain to lead flight operations for a managed aircraft. The Captain is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of domestic trip assignments under Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 135, ensuring the highest level of customer service. Reporting administratively to the Chief Pilot, the Captain holds ultimate authority as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight, fostering a collaborative environment with the Second-in-Command (SIC) to achieve operational excellence. The successful candidate must reside within the Greater Pittsburgh Area, with Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport (BTP) serving as the designated home base.

- Ensuring safe and efficient flight operations for domestic trip assignments operating under FAR Part 135 regulations, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Adhering to all duties and responsibilities stated in company procedures manuals.
- Maintaining a current First-Class Medical Certificate as required by policy and promptly notifying the company if any medical (physical or mental) condition may impair the ability to perform flight duties.
- Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and demonstrating the ability to coordinate and lead the flight crew effectively.
- Greeting passengers, assisting with passenger seating, and securing luggage storage.
- Conducting comprehensive passenger briefings and responding promptly to passenger requests and needs.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support flight operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Certifications & Ratings:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Appropriate Type Rating – Citation CJ3.
- Valid Passport.
Flight Hours:
- Minimum 3,000 PIC hours (Fixed Wing).
- Including:
- 1,000 hours Turbine PIC.
- 200 hours Multi-Engine Time.
Operational Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of FAR Part 135, FAA, ICAO, and international flight operations regulations.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems and limitations.

Other Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
- This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and provide two forms of Federal Identification.
- Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine suitability for the position.
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 3,500 PIC Hours (Fixed Wing).
Total Compensation Package
Annual Salary: $140,000.00
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The role involves exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to airplane machinery and jet engines, within typical outdoor and industrial/hangar environments. Some exposure to extreme temperatures is to be expected due to travel requirements. Work may also occur within typical business aircraft interiors, which can involve tight or cramped spaces.
Physical demands include the ability to see and hear clearly, read, comprehend, and speak English clearly. The successful candidate must be able to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl, as well as move in tight quarters. The ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, and to work in all weather conditions as needed, is required. Candidates must regularly push/pull up to 70 pounds and regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Travel Required
100% travel required while on rotation.
