Position Summary
The Aircraft Captain acts as the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and is responsible for the safe conduct of assigned flights. Operating under the direction of the Chief Pilot, the Captain holds final authority over aircraft operations and ensures strict adherence to all federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as internal departmental policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities

Serve as PIC or Second-in-Command (SIC) as assigned; support flight operations in both capacities.

Ensure aircraft airworthiness, complete preflight inspections, verify required documentation, and address maintenance discrepancies prior to flight.

Prepare and file flight plans, including calculation of aircraft weight, balance, fuel requirements, and performance data.

Evaluate weather conditions for departure, enroute, destination, and alternate airports.

Utilize aircraft checklists and Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL) during all phases of operation.

Supervise air and ground crews during trip preparation.

Provide for passenger safety and comfort, ensuring all needs are met within the limits of sound operational procedures.

Conduct comprehensive safety briefings, including emergency equipment and evacuation procedures for all passengers.

Complete post-flight inspections, record accurate flight times, and document any inflight discrepancies for maintenance action.

Maintain thorough records, including aircraft logs, reports, expense accounts, payroll, and Learning Management System (LMS) requirements.

Uphold aviation proficiency through assigned training and continuous self-study.
Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years of professional pilot experience.

ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate with multiengine land rating.

FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

Valid FAA Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificate.

Valid passport and automobile driver's license.

Minimum of 2,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time, 500 hours turbojet, and 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

Type rating in company aircraft or the ability to attend factory training, pass a check-ride, and meet FAR 61.58 Pilot Proficiency Exam (PPE) requirements.

Fluency in English.

Comprehensive knowledge of GOM, SMS, AFM, aircraft QRH, and ERP procedures.

Strong work ethic, customer service skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and accountability.

Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex operational scenarios.
Preferred Requirements

Associate's degree or higher.

Previous corporate aviation experience.

Minimum of 3,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time, 1,000 hours turbojet, and 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Salary:
$129,000.00 – $183,200.00 per year.

This position is eligible for an Annual Incentive Program, medical/pharmacy, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, pension, 401(k), paid time off (PTO), holidays, tuition reimbursement, and additional wellness and reimbursement accounts.
