Description
The Director of Pilot Training is responsible for leading our flight operations training program and ensuring that pilot and instructor training is designed and developed using standard processes for instructions system design and in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Normal duties of a Woolpert Pilot III, with a somewhat modified rotation schedule, enabling pursuit of the following additional functions and responsibilities

Continually review and manage training manual and other training related materials to update teaching objectives, outlines and training aids

Complete required forms and records to assure proper documentation of training

Manage Training schedule for Woolpert pilots

Schedule and monitor training events with external training facilities, as required

Maintain a working knowledge of all appropriate FAA regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance in all areas of training

Serves as liaison to the FAA and the insurance carrier for interpretation and implementation of training program requirements and for coordination of training program approvals

Conducts training in accordance with FAA training regulations and guidelines

Engages with industry experts to share ideas and assess new training technologies and methodologies. Demonstrates a continuous improvement mentality

Coordinates across other company divisions (e.g., Global Learning, Digital Technology, Corporate Safety) in support of learning technologies and training content

Manages regular and ad-hoc audits of pilot, instructor, and evaluator training programs and certification records
-
Manages collection and analysis of training data including pilot survey feedback

Conduct preflight/post flight- debriefings and provide in-flight instruction to ensure pilots have a thorough understanding and comprehension of the training materials

May lead a team responsible for managing specifications, development, testing, and training for all qualifications, learning, and training management systems
Requirements
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or higher
-
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine/Instrument Ratings

FAA Certified Flight Instructor with Multi Engine/Instrument Ratings

FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate
-
5 years of experience in pilot training and records management

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must possess a current US Passport

Ability to secure necessary VISA(s)
Preferred Certifications:

Airline Transport Pilot with Multi Engine Certificate
Travel:
-
Travel approximately 50% of the time
Resulting Physical Qualifications:
-
Ability to work additional hours when necessary

Must be able to lift and move more than 50 pounds

Must be able to reach with hands and arms and climb
-
Must be able to walk, stand and/or sit for long periods of time
