Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for this prestigious position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on A320 family aircraft.
- Possession of a valid A320 Type Rating.
- Wizz Air UK offers comprehensive sponsorship for UK work visas for successful candidates and their immediate families, provided there is no British or Irish ancestry.
Compensation and Benefits
Remuneration Package
- New Captains: Expected annual earnings around £155,000 GBP (approximately $210,000 USD), inclusive of flight pay.
- Senior Captains: Earnings can increase to over £200,000 GBP (approximately $270,000 USD) with seniority.
- Part-Time (14 ON / 14 OFF) Captains: Anticipated annual earnings around £100,000 GBP (approximately $135,000 USD).
- Line Training Pay: An additional annual earning of approximately £20,000 GBP (approximately $27,000 USD) is provided for line training duties.
- Compensation for Days Off: Additional days off are compensated at approximately £1,000 per day (approximately $1,350 USD).
Roster Patterns
Pilots can select from a variety of roster options designed to suit their lifestyle:
- Fixed 5 ON / 4 OFF Roster: A standard pattern ensuring 25 fixed days off annually. This roster can be strategically utilized to create five blocks of 13 consecutive days off per year (4 OFF, 5 LEAVE, 4 OFF).
- Random Roster: Standard full-time roster offering operational flexibility.
- Part-Time 14 ON / 14 OFF Roster: Providing an attractive work-life balance for those seeking reduced hours.
Paid Holidays and Travel Privileges
- A fixed 5 ON / 4 OFF roster equates to 25 days of paid holiday per year.
