The team you will be a part of:

The Aircraft Operations team ensures operational compliance with federal and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Participates in the development and implementation of flight policies and guidelines. Interprets and makes decisions involving scheduling, crew and aircraft assignment, and budgetary control over scheduling the use of several aircraft and flight crews.

This role in summary:

The Captain is responsible for the safe transport of company personnel, customers and guests during international and domestic flights. The Captain must ensure compliance with all applicable regulations as well as the policies and procedures specified in the Business Travel Center (Corporate Aviation Office) Operations Manual.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as Pilot in Command of our company aircraft (designated in writing by the Chief Pilot).
  • Ensure that the Business Travel Center’s operations are conducted in a manner that provides for the safety and security of passengers and crewmembers at all times. Once a company aircraft has been released for flight, the Captain has exclusive and final authority regarding the conduct of the flight.
  • Maintain a high level of professional/technical knowledge and proficiency while providing exceptional customer service. Once a company aircraft has been released for flight, the Captain has exclusive and final authority regarding the conduct of the flight.
  • Complete additional responsibilities related to the efficient operation of the Business Travel Center when not flying a company aircraft.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Technical/Product Knowledge: Minimum 3000 hours total flight time, 1000 hours cross country, 1000 hours multi-engine pilot in command, 1000 turbine flight hours, 200 hours actual instrument.
  • Other Requirements (certifications, licenses, etc.): Possess a valid FAA Airline Transport.
  • Pilot multi-engine land certificate, valid FAA first class medical certificate, valid FCC radio operator certificate, be English proficient (an FAA requirement).
  • All work will be performed in an airport environment both inside a hangar and on ramp areas. Noise and other flight operations risks will be present.
  • Physical agility and strength for assisting customers with their luggage as needed. Must lift 60 pounds.
  • Willing to work a flexible and often changing schedule.

Preferred skills and experiences:

  • G-V, G-VII and / or DA-2EASy type rated.
  • 4000 hours total flight time, 1500 hours cross country, 1500 hours multi-engine pilot in command, 1000 turbine flight hours, 300 hours actual instrument, 100 hours in type (recent experience).
  • Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on business acumen and customer service.
  • Mature individual who works well in a small team setting.
  • Impeccable personal appearance and professional demeanor due to frequent interaction with the Whirlpool leadership team.
