Western Global Airlines | B747 100-300 First Officer

Western Global Airlines is seeking a qualified First Officer for its B747-400 or MD11 fleet, with a class date in February 2025. This is a home-based position. The airline, recognized as one of the world's fastest-growing cargo carriers, provides air cargo charter flights globally, serving customers in e-commerce, express, freight forwarding, logistics, nonprofit, and governmental organizations.

The First Officer serves as Second-in-Command of the flight, adhering to all regulations and directives, while conducting the flight in a manner suitable to the Captain. The tour of duty is 17 days away from the home base.

Essential duties include operating in accordance with Western Global Airlines’ approved manuals, Operations Specifications, 14 CFRs, FAA Orders, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, Directives, and Manufacturer’s recommendations. The First Officer will also comply with all administrative programs, including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements, pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies and procedures, and other assigned tasks.

Education and Technical Requirements:

  • Hold a current and valid FAA ATPL.
  • Hold a valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Possess ICAO English Level IV proficiency.
  • Accumulate a minimum of 2500 hours of total flying experience.
  • Maintain a clean history of accidents or incidents.
  • Hold a valid US passport allowing unrestricted international travel due to military contract requirements.
  • Previous Part 121 airline/aviation experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and 10-year background check.

Preferred Skills:

  • College degree in Aviation or a related field.
  • Previous B747-400/Boeing or MD-11/Airbus aircraft type rating.
  • 1000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations.
  • Up to 500 hours of military flight time as pilot in command (PIC) of a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane can count towards the 1,000-hour requirement.
  • Pilot in command (PIC) in operations under either § 135.243(a)(1) or § 91.1053(a)(2)(i), or any combination of these.
