Overview of the Role:
WestJet Encore is seeking experienced pilots to join our team and deliver a memorable travel experience for our guests. As a WestJet Encore pilot, you will play a key role in upholding our reputation as one of Canada's most admired and respected corporate cultures. Utilizing your extensive experience, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of Bombardier Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft across our expansive network. Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2000 hours total time on fixed-wing aircraft.
- Minimum 250 hours fixed-wing pilot-in-command time.
- Minimum 500 flight hours under CARs 705 operation.
- Valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot's Licence (ATPL).
- Valid TC Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- Valid TC Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Current valid passport or Canadian Permanent Resident Card.
- All necessary visas and travel documents for unrestricted travel.
- Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) obtained prior to Initial Ground School.
- Oral and written proficiency in English.
- Clear police background and criminal record check.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test is a condition of employment.
Assets:
Preference will be given to candidates who possess qualifications and experience exceeding the minimum requirements. Desirable assets include multi-engine and multi-crew experience, previous experience within the WestJet network, total flight time exceeding 2000 hours, and graduation from a WestJet partner school.
