The role is within West Atlantic UK AOC and serves to serves to support the Crew Training Department. This position requires an individual to work on behalf of both the West Atlantic UK AOC and the airlines selected Approved Training Organisation (ATO) to provide aircraft training to type rating candidates (Base Training). The role requires the support of the joint training departments, by promoting training standards and assisting with aircraft training duties.
NOTE: Employment is by West Atlantic UK Ltd. This is an extension of exiting TRI privileges to include aircraft takeoff and landing training. Approval to conduct training under the ATO is at the ATO’s discretion.
Training Personnel have a responsibility for upholding company standards and promoting a positive company ethos. Trainers will be required to show robust technical and operational knowledge. It is essential that trainers have excellent procedural discipline, are passionate about Company policy and procedure, with no private idiosyncrasies. The role requires a desire to support the development of others and a willingness to promote a team ethos within the training department. As a trainer they must insist on the greatest effort from Trainees, whilst instilling confidence and encouraging an improvement in standard at each stage of training.
The candidate should have a passion for supporting the development of colleagues and have demonstrated an obvious desire to promote the highest standards. In this position, the individual will play an important role in the development of the B737 fleet and West Atlantic UK crews. They should therefore have a high work ethic and be driven to contribute positively to the training environment.
