Pilot In Command - International
This full-time Pilot in Command position, Requisition ID: 1406, reports to the Director of Flight Operations. The role is based internationally, with various location assignments. The primary responsibility of the WMI Pilot in Command is to operate aircraft in diverse weather conditions and to assist the Pilot in Command in all aspects of aircraft and operational maintenance. This role primarily involves flying King Air C90 and B200 aircraft.
Essential Job Functions:
The Pilot in Command will:
- Operate aircraft during special mission operations.
- Assist in performing maintenance on the aircraft and its special mission equipment.
- Replenish seeding agents as required.
- Keep project meteorologists informed of new storm or cloud development during operations.
- Maintain accurate flight records.
- Maintain a clean and organized aircraft, office, and work area.
- Provide 24/7 weather watch as needed or requested.
- Cultivate positive public relations, uphold a professional image, and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Provide updates to WMI key personnel after operations.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time.
- Multi-engine flight time, which is preferred.
- A Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings.
- A current First or Second Class Medical Certificate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in fluent English.
- The ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, exhibiting tact and discretion.
- Willingness to relocate and travel internationally.
- A valid Passport.
Physical Demands:
The Pilot in Command must have the physical capability to:
- Sit or stand for extended periods.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
