Job Description
Waterfall Freight, through its subsidiaries, stands as a leading regional air cargo operator in the United States and a prominent provider of scalable, outsourced aviation services. Leveraging the expertise of its personnel, the company enables major cargo integrators, manufacturers, aircraft operators, and freight forwarders to effectively navigate the dynamic demands of the supply chain. Waterfall Freight currently operates a fleet primarily comprising Fairchild SA227 Metro IIIs, with plans for additional aircraft types in the near future.
This position is for a skilled First Officer to join the flight crew operating the SA227 Metro III aircraft.
Key Responsibilities and Compensation
- Serves as a First Officer in the Fairchild SA227 Metro III fleet.
- Offers a competitive base salary ranging from $43,000 to $48,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Includes cargo and retention incentive programs.
- Features a home-based assignment model. While preference may be given to candidates residing within the I-65 Corridor, applicants living in any city within the contiguous United States located within one hour of an airport serviced daily by at least two air carriers are encouraged to apply.
- Operates on a structured 7-week rotation schedule: two weeks on duty, followed by two weeks off, then two weeks on duty, concluding with one week off.
- Travel to and from assignment locations is provided via paid tickets.
- Hotel accommodation and a per diem allowance of $40 per day are provided when on assignment away from the home base (if applicable).
- May be required to provide assistance with the loading and offloading of cargo as needed.
Position Requirements
- Holds a valid Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine land and instrument ratings OR an Airline Transport Pilot License.
- Must satisfy all company insurance criteria regarding flight hour minimums.
- Possesses a minimum of 500 hours of total flight time.
- Includes at least 100 hours of cross-country flight time.
- Includes at least 25 hours of night cross-country flight time.
- Must be capable of flying internationally and hold a valid Second Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrates the physical ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Possesses an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Holds a valid Driver’s License and is proficient in the English language.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship and possess the ability to travel unrestricted in and out of the U.S.
