Reports To: Manager of Inflight

Stationed: PHL (Philadelphia, PA)/ ORD (Chicago, IL)

Position Summary:

While practicing “Safety Always” in every aspect of job performance and aircraft operations, Waltzing Matilda Aviation (WMA) Flight Attendants inspire air travel by keeping our promises to our guests and fellow team members by building guest loyalty to our respective brands. WMA flight attendants are primarily responsible for guest safety and comfort while performing their assigned duties. WMA Flight Attendants embrace our core values of Safety, Service, Convenience, and Reliability.

Job Responsibilities Include:

SAFETY :

  • Demonstrate safety ownership in every aspect of FA responsibilities, performance and behavior in order to maintain and improve cabin operating standards
  • Actively participate in and contribute to WMA Safety Management System
  • Ensure all identified safety or regulatory non-compliance and/or ineffective processes are reported so they may be assessed and corrected by WMA
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures to consistently achieve intended outcomes

INFLIGHT STANDARDS :

  • Work as “One Team” with crew scheduling and other team members to ensure all cabin operations are conducted in compliance with company policies and FAA regulations
  • Participate as a team member to accomplish all assigned duties per WMA standard operating procedures in an efficient and timely manner
  • Contribute to a reliable and on-time operation by communicating with and assisting ground service staff relating to guest handling duties
  • Promote adherence to all company policies and FAA regulations
  • Execute all cabin activities to achieve on-time, efficient operations, while never compromising our commitment to Safety Always
  • Demonstrate flexibility in handling schedule changes, delays and other work disruptions
  • Foster Waltzing Matilda Aviation core values and culture throughout the work environment
  • Identify and share opportunities for improvement to help us as One Team always find ways to improve our product

SERVICE :

  • Build guest loyalty to our One Team spirit by delivering service that is consistent with our purpose, values, vision, and brand
  • Communicate with our guests directly, authentically and with care, kindness, and respect in our “brand voice”
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks and beverages in accordance with established company procedures
  • Maintain situational awareness in the cabin at all times regarding guest comfort and safety

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Effectively communicate verbally in English to make onboard public address announcements, complete safety demonstrations, and ensure guests are in compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration safety regulations
  • Must possess at least a High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 2 years of hospitality or service experience. College degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods and comfortably sit in assigned jumpseat without the use of seatbelt extension
  • Ability to open emergency exits weighing up to 100lbs/45kg
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills along with a positive attitude
  • Present a professional image, both in conduct and appearance, including adherence to uniform standards
  • Must have a valid US Passport and be able to travel in/out of the US and Canada without restriction
  • Must be willing and able to serve alcoholic beverages, peanuts, and meals containing beef, pork, and seafood.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • No tattoos or body piercings that are visible while in uniform
  • Must successfully pass all training and background checks including NATA; FAA; TSA; History and Drug Screenings

WMA is an FAA licensed Part 135 private jet charter operator. We began private (FAA Part 91) operations in June 2008 and have operated thousands of hours of safe and reliable flying since commencing operations out of the Boston area. We own and operate both our own aircraft as well as managed aircraft. We believe in utilizing the latest technology to ensure the safest operations. Our aircraft are equipped with the latest avionics that allows for landings with lower visibility conditions than most aircraft.
