Job Summary

Vista America invites applications from professional and experienced First Officers (SIC) to operate its managed Gulfstream G450 aircraft. This full-time, permanent position, based in Austin, Texas (KAUS), involves a dynamic combination of Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate will serve as a crucial member of the flight deck, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities, acting as a brand ambassador, and consistently providing iconic, luxury service to passengers. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate the Gulfstream G450 aircraft as Second-in-Command, adhering to all FAA regulations, company policies, and international standards.
  • Exhibit superior airmanship, precise flight execution, and sound decision-making in all flight phases, demonstrating proficiency in advanced flight maneuvers and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Captain and ground crew to ensure seamless and secure flight operations.
  • Act as a professional and courteous brand ambassador for Vista America, ensuring an exceptional luxury experience for all passengers.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness and proactively address any operational challenges or emergent situations.
  • Complete all necessary flight documentation, reports, and administrative tasks accurately and promptly.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Candidates for the First Officer position must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • An FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Preferably, a current Type Rating in the Gulfstream G450 (G-IV).
  • A minimum of 2,500 hours of total fixed-wing flight time.
  • At least 1,500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
  • A minimum of 150 hours of logged Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) time.
  • At least 250 hours of turbine aircraft experience.
  • Demonstrated jet aircraft experience.
  • Prior operational experience under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations.
  • Recent flight experience, including 150 hours in the previous 365 days and 30 hours in the previous 90 days.
  • A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • A clean record, with no accidents, incidents, or FAA enforcement actions within the last five years.
  • Compliance with ICAO Annex 1-2.1.10 requirements as they pertain to aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
  • Authorization to travel to and from all cities and countries served by the Vista Family of Companies.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
