Job Summary
For the highly experienced aviator who understands the precision and discipline required for complex instrument approaches, Vista America presents an exceptional opportunity for a Captain on a Managed Gulfstream G550 aircraft. This permanent, full-time position is based out of KBDR (Bridgeport, CT) and operates under a combination of Part 91 and Part 135 regulations.
The successful Captain will serve as a Principal in Command (PIC), driving operational excellence and pushing the boundaries of luxury service. This role demands an individual who is an adept problem-solver, a distinguished brand ambassador for Vista America, and consistently prepared to extend assistance. The Captain will be an integral part of a globally supportive team, delivering iconic, high-touch service to passengers on every flight.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate the Gulfstream G550 aircraft as Principal in Command (PIC) in compliance with all Part 91 and Part 135 regulations and company procedures.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety, service, and operational efficiency throughout all flight operations.
- Act as a professional and personable brand ambassador, upholding Vista America's reputation for unparalleled luxury and excellence.
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving capabilities, adaptability, and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Provide iconic, personalized, and discreet service to passengers, ensuring a seamless and comfortable travel experience.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all flight procedures, aircraft systems, and current regulatory requirements.
Pilot Requirements
To be considered for this prestigious Captain position, candidates must meet the following essential qualifications and experience:
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Current type rating and demonstrated experience in a Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
- A minimum of 3,500 hours of total fixed-wing flight time.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- A preferred minimum of 250 hours of PIC time in type (G550).
- A minimum of 2,000 hours of multi-engine flight time.
- A minimum of 300 hours of logged Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) time.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of turbine flight time.
- Demonstrated experience in both Part 91 and Part 135 operations.
- A minimum of 150 hours of flight time within the previous 365 days, with at least 30 hours in the previous 90 days.
- Possession of a current First Class Medical Certificate.
- A clean record with no accidents, incidents, or FAA enforcement actions within the last 5 years.
- Compliance with the requirements of ICAO Annex 1-2.1.10 as it pertains to aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
- Authorization to travel to and from all cities/countries served by the Vista Family of Companies.
- Authorization to work legally in the United States.
