Key Responsibilities
As a Cabin Crew member, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Warmly welcoming guests onboard and bidding them farewell upon arrival.
- Delivering clear and comprehensive safety briefings and ensuring strict adherence to all safety protocols.
- Providing exceptional service to all guests, addressing their needs with professionalism and care.
- Assisting guests with special requirements and ensuring a positive and engaging experience for unaccompanied minors.
- Collaborating effectively within a dynamic team, engaging with diverse individuals daily, and experiencing new destinations.
- Demonstrating adaptability and resilience in managing unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions, operational delays, or emergencies.
- Maintaining composure and confidence under pressure to ensure guests feel secure and well-cared for throughout their journey.
Candidate Profile
Virgin Australia is seeking individuals who possess a genuine passion for hospitality and an energetic disposition. Ideal candidates are described as composed, adaptable, service-oriented, proactive, and resilient. They possess excellent interpersonal skills, an unwavering commitment to safety, clear decision-making capabilities, and a charismatic, approachable demeanor.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- Possess a minimum of three (3) years of prior employment experience in full-time or part-time roles with a strong focus on customer or people care.
- Hold a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
- Possess a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- Hold a current Australian First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster, which includes early starts, late finishes, weekends, public holidays, and peak periods.
- Be able to reach a height of 180cm.
