In a nutshell

The best jobs make you fly. And when you join Virgin Atlantic as part of our world-famous cabin crew, you’ll be doing just that - in more ways than one. We’re looking for warm, hands-on, hard working, professional people to be the beating heart of our iconic airline. As Virgin Atlantic cabin crew, your goal is to make every customer’s inflight experience as memorable as the adventure that awaits them at their destination. You’ll be providing the exceptional service that sets us apart, and make sure that our customers and crew fly safe and well with us, every time. If that sounds good to you, we’d love you to apply. This year we’ve already welcomed many people to our team who are now seeing their careers take off. And while the initial contract is six months, it’s only the start of your journey. We very much intend to make these contracts permanent, just as we’ve already done for our cabin crew returners, and many of our new recruits as well. We’ll continue to invest in the training and long-term career goals of all our cabin crew, and hope to share even more great news with our people as we continue our journey to becoming the most loved travel company.

Day to day

See the World Differently. When you fly for Virgin Atlantic, excitement, opportunity and making friends comes with the job. Working alongside experienced cabin crew, you’ll bring your own unique personality and flair to everything you do, sharing your passion for exceptional customer service, and being responsible for safety, security, and operational excellence onboard. During each flight, the comfort, health, and many various needs of our customers will be your focus - from serving meals, to promoting our fabulous duty-free range, reassuring nervous flyers, or helping with special assistance and medical requirements. We’ve even delivered a few babies! The best part? Every trip is a new experience. One week you might be visiting a Caribbean island or seeing the bright lights of Manhattan. The next being in awe of Table Mountain or watching the mist circle over the Golden Gate Bridge. But it’s important to remember that there’ll be challenging days too, and you’ll need to be able to adapt to a long-haul lifestyle. It doesn’t suit everyone, but we’ll always be here to guide and support you. And when you spot an opportunity to make someone’s flight truly special, there’s no feeling like it.

About you

Do you have a pioneering spirit, the desire to experience new places and cultures, a positive attitude, and a passion for creating thoughtful experiences for our customers? So that everyone at Virgin Atlantic can be themselves and know they belong. At Virgin Atlantic, we’ve always championed individuality. Wherever you’re going, onboard or in life, we salute you. The last time we recruited for cabin crew, we were thrilled to offer over 1000 incredibly talented people the opportunity to join our team. And we’re so proud that nearly 18% of these individuals come from ethnically diverse backgrounds, and over 6% are living with disabilities every day. We want our people to truly be themselves at work, and we’re always looking at ways we can help make that happen. That’s why, in May this year, we changed our rules on visible tattoos, becoming the first UK airline to allow our customer-facing teams to proudly show theirs off to the world. To make your journey with us accessible and individual to you, please let us know if you’d like a little extra help with your application, or at any stage during your recruitment journey. Our training  programme We’ll invest in your development so that you can really flourish in your career with us. As you’d expect, our training programme is rigorous and intensive but rewarding, and it takes commitment from you to complete it successfully. The course is 5 weeks long and split into three subject areas - Safety & Security, Aviation Medicine, and Service - and includes classroom sessions, practical sessions (including a swimming element), daily tests, exams, and final assessments. Before you begin your practical training, you’ll need to complete seven online modules of around an hour each to prepare you with a solid foundation before you really get started. Once you graduate from your Wings ceremony, the sky really is the limit. It’ll be time to put all your training and hard work into practice and take to the skies with us. We expect you’ll have lots of questions as we go along, so don’t worry. We’ll be on hand throughout your journey with answers to everything you want to know. But first things first - we just look forward to hearing from you!
