Description
Acts as Captain on at least one company aircraft type.

Ensures the safe, secure, and efficient operation of Valero Corporate Services aircraft based on Flight Department guidelines and procedures.

Works with the OCC to receive flight assignments. Has final responsibility for the proper execution of the flight.

Oversees aircraft performance, risk analysis, and weight & balance calculations.

Participates in pre and post flight briefings with appropriate personnel.

Maintains good Crew Resource Management (CRM) with team members and coordinates flight operations with the OCC. Exhibits a team oriented approach with co-workers and nurtures the development of First Officers. Ensures crew is in compliance with the Flight Operations Manual and departmental documentation.

Apprises the OCC of any changes in schedule due to weather, equipment changes, ATC, NOTAMS or any changes requested by passengers.

Ensures CSCM are properly briefed and advised as to status of flight.

Maintains a high level of customer service without compromising safety.

Responsibilities include fuel, baggage loading, route and airport selections to OCC

Ensures flight is carried out within all limitations imposed by the flight operations manual (FOM), government regulations and safe operating practices.

Reports any relevant safety issues utilizing the current SMS system.

Insures all discrepancies are reviewed and in compliance with aircraft MEL.

Acts as a role model for the department’s Principals and Values.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

5 years of experience as an aircraft pilot required.

3500 flight hours required.

Valid FAA ATP Certificate required.

1st Class Medical Certificate required.

Bachelor’s or higher level degree preferred.
Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
