Pilot in Command (Part 91)

Location: Topeka, KS (KFOE)

Employment Type: Full-time, Not Commutable

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations as needed.

Position Overview

Vaerus Aviation is seeking a professional Pilot in Command (PIC) to join our Part 91 flight department. This role is intended for experienced aviators who prioritize preparation, sound judgment, and professionalism. The successful candidate will operate well-maintained business aircraft across a diverse mix of jet and turboprop missions, supporting both business and personal travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exercise full command authority over aircraft and assigned missions.
  • Maintain high standards of thorough preparation and proactive mission planning.
  • Uphold professional communication standards during all flight operations.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while utilizing sound aeronautical decision-making.
  • Contribute to a safety-focused culture that values operational sustainability and long-term career growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating.
  • Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours in type.
  • Hold a Second Class FAA Medical Certificate or higher.
  • Possess a valid US Passport and driver’s license.
  • Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Experience in corporate aviation is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BE400 Type Rating.
