FCF Pilot - T-45 Program - NAS Kingsville, TX
Vertex is searching for a highly skilled and experienced FCF Pilot to join our team at NAS Kingsville, TX. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading aviation program within a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
The FCF Pilot will be responsible for the safe execution of ground and flight tests on the T-45 aircraft. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Conducting preflight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures, functional checks, and maneuvers in strict adherence to flight operation procedures, FCF checklists, and all applicable publications.
- Maintaining superior knowledge of aircraft systems, emergency procedures, operating limitations, relevant regulations, and established procedures.
- Executing meticulous preflight planning, encompassing flight plan filing, performance data calculations, weather analysis, NOTAM review, fuel calculations, and weight and balance assessments.
- Reviewing maintenance records to ascertain required functional check flights and verify proper completion and documentation of maintenance tasks.
- Briefing crew members and passengers on mission specifics, standard procedures, emergency protocols, and equipment requirements.
- Performing cross-country aircraft ferry and rescue operations as needed.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation related to aircraft maintenance, adhering to all applicable technical publications and directives.
- Actively participating in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Complying with all established safety regulations and protocols.
- Contributing to the safety, security, and maintenance of Government/Company equipment and supplies.
- Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and a steadfast commitment to quality.
Qualifications:
- FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot certificate with an instrument rating and single-engine privileges.
- FAA Class II medical certificate.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- Minimum of 500 hours flight time in the T-45 aircraft.
- Current or prior FCF qualification on any military aircraft.
- Ability to successfully complete Naval Aviation Survival Training (Aviation Physiology and Water Survival).
- Meet all anthropometric requirements for the T-45 aircraft.
