V2X is seeking a highly skilled AH-64D/E Helicopter Instructor, referred to as an Instructor/Operator (IO) or Instructor Pilot (IP), to provide advanced flight and simulator training for the Kuwait Air Force (KAF). This critical role is based at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, focusing on enhancing aircrew proficiency on the AH-64D/E Apache helicopter.
About the Role
This full-time, exempt Instructor/Operator position delivers comprehensive instructional support and Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) oversight, directly supporting KAF training objectives. The role reports to the in-country V2X-GTS Program Manager. A standard five-day, eight-hour work week applies at the OCONUS site. Applicants must be United States citizens with a current U.S. passport and possess a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities

Provide expert AH‑64D/E flight and simulator instruction, including briefs, in-flight training, debriefs, check rides, and After Action Reviews (AARs).

Instruct and evaluate student pilots in classroom, simulator, and in-flight environments on AH-64D/E aircraft systems, instrument flight, mission scenarios, emergency procedures, tactics, and gunnery.

Develop and execute diverse simulator scenarios (day/night/NVG operations, fault insertion, weather control) adhering to U.S. Army ATMs and aviation regulations.

Determine training objectives and evaluation criteria, ensuring compliance with U.S. Army and host-nation standards.

Manage aircrew scheduling, simulator configurations, and ensure availability of operational publications and flight planning materials.

Develop, update, and deliver aviation courseware, tutorials, and Programs of Instruction (POIs) in English, serving as a subject matter expert.

Maintain flight simulator training SOPs, recommend improvements, and assist with TADSS maintenance assessments and troubleshooting.

Coordinate with host-nation/FMS representatives on training/maintenance schedules, ensuring contract compliance and quality control.

Provide professional technical advice and communicate effectively with diverse multi-national personnel.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

United States citizen with current U.S. passport and Secret clearance.

Minimum 5 years as an aviator, with last AH-64D/E flight within 12 months.

Minimum 1000 hours as pilot in the AH-64D/E Apache helicopter.

Minimum 250 hours as an Instructor Pilot (IP) in the AH-64D/E.

Prior AH‑64D/E Instructor Pilot experience (company level or higher) in flight and simulator training, evaluations, and check rides.

Graduate of the U.S. Army AH-64D/E Instructor Pilot and Methods of Instruction course.

High School Graduate required; Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree desired.

Strong understanding of U.S. Army Aircrew Training Manuals, aviation publications, and regulations.

Proficiency in instrument flight, mission planning, emergency procedures, NVG operations, and tactical employment.

Computer literate (word processing, database input, electronic publications, web access, briefing/debriefing software).

Strong English communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with military flight training base operations.

Ability to support periodic travel, work overtime, wear PPE, and lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications

AH-64Ev6 qualification.

Previous FMS or host-nation air force support experience, particularly in Kuwait or the CENTCOM AOR.

Experience developing SOPs, courseware, and POIs for aviation training.

Familiarity with FAA Order 7110.65 and ATC procedures for simulator training.

Prior TADSS, simulator maintenance oversight, or device acceptance/validation experience.
