Captain

Unum is seeking a qualified and experienced Captain to join its aviation team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This individual will serve as Pilot-in-Command, responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers and crew, and for the comfortable and timely operation of the aircraft. The Captain supervises the flight crew and ensures adherence to FAA Regulations and the Unum Aviation department Flight Operations manual. He or she determines flight routes, speed, and takeoff and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements, and makes informed decisions regarding potential delays, rerouting, or flight cancellations, collaborating with the operations team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the safe and efficient transportation of corporate personnel, customers, and guests on company aircraft.
• Maintains direct responsibility for the operation of the aircraft, including FAA regulation compliance, adherence to aircraft performance limitations, weather briefing, fuel requirements, and safety and security protocols.
• Ensures the accurate and timely completion of all FAA-required records for each trip.
• Provides an exceptional customer experience.
• Actively participates in the Safety Management System.
• Fulfills additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President, Aviation.
• Complies with all requirements for IS-BAO compliance.
• Attends Flight Safety International for semiannual flight training.
• Performs other duties as assigned when not actively flying.

Qualifications:

• Holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating.
• EMB-550 Type rating preferred but not required.
• Maintains a valid First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
• Possesses a valid and current passport and radiotelephony license.

The salary range for this position is $109,100.00-$224,000.00. Actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
