Universal Technical Institute is seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Technician to transition into an instructional role. Position Overview

The Aviation Maintenance Instructor is responsible for shaping the skills and knowledge of students through interactive, hands-on learning. The successful candidate will guide students in understanding complex aircraft systems and components, preparing them for successful careers within the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and Educate: Create an engaging, inclusive learning environment that fosters a passion for aviation maintenance.
  • Hands-On Training: Provide practical demonstrations and instruction on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing aircraft systems.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the education team to enhance existing courses and develop new content aligned with industry trends.
  • Mentorship: Guide students through individual projects, encouraging critical thinking and innovative problem-solving.
  • Safety Standards: Uphold and teach strict safety procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in the aviation maintenance field.
  • Certifications: FAA A&P license is highly valued; assistance provided to obtain or update credentials if necessary.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: Demonstrated patience and empathy to support students at varying learning paces.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour.
  • Schedule: Weekends off.
  • Training: Comprehensive paid training provided.
