Position Summary
*MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE UNITED AVIATE PROGRAM*
Perform the duties of a certificated flight instructor as authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration in accordance with the approved Training Course Outline. Ensure all students understand and practice all aspects of United Aviate Academy’s Aviation Safety Program.
Provides flight, ground, and simulator training for student pilots in accordance with 14 CFR Parts 141 and 61. FAA regulations and publications, and United Aviate Academy’s policies and procedures. Maintains student training records, ensures FAA ACS course standards, and training requirements are met by each student for pilot training.
Initiate stage check and End-of-Course requests for assigned students. Responsible for the timely course completion of all flight students assigned including completion of required paperwork. Monitor the maintenance condition of the training aircraft and inform United Aviate Academy maintenance personnel of any inoperative and or questionable items.
Compensation
Hourly Salary : 70-hour minimum guarantee at a rate of $40 per hour. Pay above 70 hours of billable work will be paid at a rate of $40 per flight hour and $20 per ground.
