The Aviate Sourcing and Pilot Recruiter plays a pivotal role in attracting top-tier talent to United's Aviate program. This individual is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and recruiting exceptional candidates, building and nurturing relationships with flight schools and industry partners, and ensuring program goals are consistently exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead Talent Acquisition: Proactively source, attract, and recruit highly qualified candidates from Aviate partner flight schools, universities, and Part 135 operators.
- Champion the Aviate Program: Plan and attend career fairs, campus visits, and flight line events, delivering compelling presentations about the Aviate program, United's initiatives, and core values to diverse audiences.
- Guide Future Aviators: Provide comprehensive education to potential and current candidates on the Aviate program, outlining clear pathways to achieving their dreams of flying with United.
- Analyze and Strategize: Analyze partner data, identify trends, and collaborate with team members to develop innovative recruiting strategies that meet staffing needs and outpace industry competition.
- Facilitate Candidate Journey: Interface with Pilot Hiring throughout the application and interview process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all candidates.
- Cultivate Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with students, instructors, and industry partners, fostering a pipeline of exceptional talent.
- Embrace Collaboration: Partner closely with team members and management to develop and execute effective recruiting strategies.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Aviate program by identifying opportunities for improvement and participating in special projects.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $59,700 to $87,560, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. United offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 6 months dedicated to recruiting.
- Proven ability to excel in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Internet Explorer.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience coordinating and attending career fairs.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging presentations to large groups.
- Previous experience in aviation recruiting.
- Familiarity with Salesforce.
