Shape the Future of Our Pilot Workforce
The Senior Analyst - Pilot Workforce Planning & Analysis will be a key contributor to the strategic development and execution of the long-term Pilot Workforce plan. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage analytical skills and strategic thinking to make a tangible impact on the future of United Airlines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex models to forecast long-term pilot demand, including a 3-month base level staffing outlook and monthly schedule plan.
- Analyze variances, identify potential risks, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Lead the monthly Finance submission process to ensure accurate forecasting of Flight Ops Crew Resources budgets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Crew Planning, Finance, and the Flight Training Center to develop and implement effective workforce strategies.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Business, Computer Sciences, Logistics/Transportation or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a related analytical role.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong data analysis, querying, and modeling capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a self-motivated approach to identifying trends, patterns, and actionable insights from data.
- Proven ability to utilize data analysis to evaluate and validate hypotheses.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information verbally and visually through dashboards and presentations.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to successfully complete interview process.
- Commitment to reliable and punctual attendance.
Preferred:
- Experience in Workforce Planning, Crew Planning, Network Planning, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Strategic Planning/Corporate Development.
- Proficiency in programming languages.
