Our Network Operations team works around the clock running United’s global operation, safely, reliably and efficiently. From dispatching and routing our fleet to coordinating with maintenance line planning and crew scheduling, this team makes caring connections with our internal customers and ultimately, United’s customers. From pushback to landing, the Network Operations team is the eyes and ears on the ground no matter where in the world your United flight takes you.

Key Responsibilities:

The Pilot Senior Crew Scheduler position presents an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role within United’s fast paced operation. You will work closely supporting our pilots with their schedules, ensuring on-time flight departures throughout United’s worldwide network. If you are detail-oriented, enjoy problem solving and are looking for a nontraditional schedule this is the position for you. This position comes with the potential for further career development and an exciting and satisfying professional challenge.

This opportunity is in-person at our Network Operations Center in Arlington Heights, IL. It’s a fast-paced operational position working different shifts 0600-1430, 1400-2230 and 2200-0630 as well as all days of the week including weekends and holidays. Reliable, punctual attendance is crucial for this position.

+ Provides crew coordination for United Airlines pilots

+ Assign pilots to flying while ensuring strict compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and the United Pilot Agreement (UPA)

+ Monitor, analyze and resolve complex problems with pilot schedules and legalities

+ Apply efficient strategies while adhering to all FAA and contract work rules

+ Provide a high level of customer service as part of the 24-hour round-the-clock support for our pilot work group

+ Maintain proficiency in the application of Federal Aviation Regulations, the United Pilot Agreement and company policies

+ Work well under pressure and be adaptable to change

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ High School diploma

+ 1+ years of experience as a Crew Scheduler

+ Proven track record of strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills

+ Perform with a high level of accuracy

+ Perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

+ Ability to exercise flexibility and good judgment

+ Ability to handle stress in high-pressure situations

+ Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills

+ Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

+ Successful track record of working independently as well as part of a team

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
