About the Role
The Ramp Training Instructor will play a crucial role in expanding organizational capabilities through hands-on learning and development initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of United's training frameworks and workforce development needs. Key responsibilities include analyzing training requirements, developing and delivering learning programs, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
Core accountabilities for this Ramp Training Instructor position include:

Design:
Updating instructional guides and reference materials, and proposing improvements to curriculum content, delivery methods, communication strategies, and documentation processes.

Delivery and Logistics:
Delivering instructional content, managing training sessions from start to finish (including requests, roster and enrollment management, classroom setup, and session close-out), and providing administrative and logistical support (e.g., reservations, ordering meals/supplies, data management, and file organization). The instructor will also act as a subject matter expert for training content design, project implementation, and policy review.

Technology and Systems:
Administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) for session management, participant enrollment, attendance tracking, and assessments, as well as providing technical and procedural support for training-related issues.

Assessment and Metrics:
Ensuring compliance with all training requirements and preparing written summaries of training classes, including notes on individual student performance.

Business Partnership and Support:
Drafting communication plans and programs for key initiatives and managing participant communications, particularly regarding enrollment and general course inquiries.
Requirements
Candidates for the Ramp Training Instructor position must meet the following minimum qualifications:

A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in Training, Facilitation, Ramp Services, or Operations.

Ability to travel up to 75% as needed.

Proven experience in stakeholder management, including building relationships with operational leaders, safety teams, and cross-functional partners.

Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and translate them into effective training solutions for ramp operations.

Experience in curriculum design and development, encompassing the creation of instructional materials and comprehensive training programs.

The physical ability to stand for long periods of time.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring sponsorship.
