Flight Attendant - Career Opportunity
United Airlines is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of over 30,000 flight attendants. Role Overview
Upon selection, candidates will undergo 6.5 weeks of Initial Training in Houston, TX, focusing on United’s safety and service standards. During training, employees receive a $140 weekly stipend, dual-occupancy hotel accommodations, and select meals. Following successful completion of training and base orientation, graduates are welcomed as full-time employees. Base assignments will be at one of our seven hubs: Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, or Washington Dulles.

Maintain the highest levels of safety, including performance during evacuations, security threats, and medical emergencies.

Deliver exceptional service with a "people-first" demeanor, resolve issues with compassion, and maintain customer loyalty.

Operational Flexibility:
Available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work reserve assignments and be away from base for extended periods.

Demonstrate dependability, timeliness, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a crew.

Physical Requirements:
Perform tasks such as standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, and lifting luggage. Ability to push/pull beverage carts up to 250 lbs and meet reach requirements (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal).
Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age at time of application.

High school diploma or GED required; 2 or more years of college preferred.

Minimum of one year of customer service experience in the service industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, education, etc.).

Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding). Proficiency in a second language is highly desirable.

Valid passport with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages.

Legal authorization to work in the United States and eligibility to travel globally without restrictions.

Professional appearance and adherence to uniform, hair, and tattoo guidelines (Tattoos must not be visible on head, hands, fingers, or neck).

Ability to pass a 10-year background check, DOT/FAA drug screens, and hearing/vision tests.

Proficiency in operating electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops).
Compensation and Benefits

Industry-Leading Pay:
Starting hourly flight pay of $37.10, with growth to $100.13/hour by 2030. Additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.
