Position Overview

United Airlines is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Flight Attendants. As the world's largest airline with an expansive global network, we offer a unique opportunity to travel the world while maintaining high standards of safety and service. Training and Onboarding

Selected candidates will undergo 6.5 weeks of industry-leading Initial Training in Houston, TX. During this period, trainees receive a $140 weekly stipend, dual-occupancy hotel accommodations, and partial meal coverage. Upon successful completion of training and base orientation, candidates are welcomed as full-time United employees. Graduates are eligible for a $1,000 bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of all passengers and crew members.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a positive, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
  • Resolve customer-facing issues with sound judgment and grace.
  • Maintain flexibility to work a 24/7 global schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and reserve assignments.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently when required.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting luggage, pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and operating aircraft equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
  • High school diploma or GED required; 2 or more years of college preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the service industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, food, education, or aviation).
  • Fluent in English (speak, read, write, and understand).
  • Must be fluent in Greek (speak and read).
  • Possess a valid passport with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background checks, including a 10-year criminal history review, and DOT drug screenings.
  • Meet FAA/United hearing and vision requirements, including specific reach assessment criteria (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal).
  • Professional appearance, adhering to specific grooming, uniform, and tattoo guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour, scaling up to $67.11/hour.
