Flight Attendant (Italian Speaking)

Position Overview
Successful candidates will undergo 6.5 weeks of comprehensive Initial Training in Houston, TX, covering safety protocols and service standards. Upon completion, employees will be assigned to one of our seven hubs (Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, or Washington Dulles). This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position requiring 24/7 availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Prioritize the safety and security of all passengers and crew members at all times.

Provide exceptional customer service with a "people-first" demeanor, resolving issues with compassion and professional judgment.

Represent United Airlines with pride, adhering to grooming and uniform standards.

Execute reserve assignments on short notice and remain available for extended periods away from the assigned base.

Serve and/or sell food and beverages, including alcohol, in a professional manner.

Operate electronic devices to complete required tasks and safety documentation.
Compensation and Benefits

Starting hourly pay of $28.88/hour, scaling up to $67.11/hour.

Additional compensation available for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.

Candidate Requirements

Age: Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.

Education: High school diploma or GED (2+ years of college preferred).

Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a service-oriented industry.

Language: Fluent in English (speak, read, write, understand) and fluent in Italian (speak and read).

Passport: Valid passport book in good condition with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages.

Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to travel globally without restrictions.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks including standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and operating aircraft doors; must pass a functional reach assessment (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal).

Medical/Regulatory: Ability to pass DOT/FAA-mandated drug screens (including zero-tolerance for marijuana), 10-year background checks, and physical/vision/hearing assessments.

Appearance: Professional grooming standards; specific limitations apply to visible tattoos and dental adornments.
