Flight Attendant - Global Operations
United is the world's largest airline, currently expanding its global network. The organization is seeking dedicated individuals to join a team of over 30,000 active flight attendants. This role offers the opportunity to travel the world while maintaining the highest safety and service standards in the aviation industry.
Role Overview
Successful candidates will undergo 6.5 weeks of initial training in Houston, Texas, covering safety and service standards. Upon completion, employees will be assigned to one of United’s seven hubs: Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, or Washington Dulles. During the training period, trainees receive a weekly stipend of $140, dual occupancy hotel accommodations, and two meals per day. Graduates of the program are eligible for a $1,000 bonus.
This is a full-time position requiring availability for a 24/7 global operation, including nights, weekends, holidays, and reserve assignments on short notice.

Pay:
Starting hourly rate of $28.88, scaling up to $67.11/hour. Additional compensation is available for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum age of 21 at time of application.

High school diploma or GED required; two or more years of college preferred.

Minimum of one year of experience in the service industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, education, or aviation).

Fluent in English and Dutch (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).

Valid passport in good condition with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and possess the ability to travel globally without restrictions.

Professional grooming standards, including compliance with uniform, tattoo, and piercing policies.

Ability to pass a 10-year background check, fingerprinting, and DOT/FAA-mandated drug screens (including zero tolerance for medical or recreational marijuana).

Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and lift heavy objects; must pass a functional reach assessment (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal).

Hearing and vision must meet FAA standards: hearing must not exceed 40 dB loss in the better ear (500–2000 Hz); vision must be corrected to 20/40 or better.

Proficiency in operating electronic devices such as tablets and smartphones.
