Position Overview: Flight Attendant
United Airlines, the world's largest airline, is seeking dedicated individuals to join its team of over 30,000 active flight attendants. This role offers the unique opportunity to travel the world while maintaining the highest safety and service standards. United provides comprehensive, industry-leading initial training, and no prior aviation schooling or college degree is required to apply.
Training and Onboarding
Selected candidates will undergo 6.5 weeks of initial training in Houston, TX. During this period, United provides a $140 weekly stipend, dual-occupancy hotel accommodations, and partial meal coverage. Upon successful completion of training and base orientation, graduates are welcomed as full-time employees. Graduates also receive a $1,000 bonus. Training includes mandatory water evacuation drills, medical and background screenings, and functional assessments.

Starting hourly flight pay: $28.88/hour (up to $67.11/hour at top of scale).

Maintain the highest levels of cabin safety and emergency preparedness.

Available for 24/7 global assignments, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Must be able to work reserve assignments and remain away from home base for extended periods.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum age: 21 years old at time of application.

Education: High school diploma or GED (2+ years of college preferred).

Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service experience.

Language: Fluent in English (speak, read, write) and fluent in Dutch.

Documentation: Must possess a valid, unrestricted passport book with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages.

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible to travel globally without restrictions.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must pass a functional reach assessment (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal).

Vision/Hearing: Meet FAA-mandated hearing and vision standards (20/40 or better corrected vision; specific audiometry thresholds apply).

Appearance: Adherence to strict tattoo, piercing, and jewelry policies.
