Position Overview
United is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Flight Attendants. As the world's largest airline, we provide unparalleled opportunities for professional growth and global travel. Training and Onboarding
Selected candidates will undergo 6.5 weeks of comprehensive initial training in Houston, TX. During this period, United provides a $140 weekly stipend, dual-occupancy hotel accommodations, and two meals per day. Upon successful completion of training, graduates receive a $1,000 bonus and are assigned to a base hub in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, or Washington Dulles.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting hourly rate is $28.88, with top-of-scale pay reaching $67.11 per hour. Additional compensation is provided for language skills, lead positions, and international assignments. Employees are eligible for profit sharing, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, an Employee Assistance Plan, and paid time off. Global travel privileges are extended to employees, their families, and friends.

Operational Duties:
Standing, walking, reaching, lifting luggage, pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and performing evacuation/safety drills.
Qualifications and Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.

High school graduate or GED (2+ years of college preferred).

Minimum of one year of customer service experience in the service industry.

Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) and fluency in German.

Must possess a valid passport book with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to travel globally without restrictions.

Pass a 10-year background check, including criminal history, and pre-employment/randomized DOT/FAA drug screens.

Meet specific vision and hearing standards per FAA requirements.

Physical ability to meet reach assessments (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal).

Professional grooming standards, including adherence to uniform, hair, and tattoo guidelines (no tattoos permitted on the head, hands, fingers, or neck).

Proficiency with electronic devices such as tablets and smartphones.
