Position Overview: Flight Attendant
United Airlines is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of over 30,000 flight attendants. Training and Onboarding
Selected candidates will undergo 6.5 weeks of comprehensive Initial Training in Houston, TX. During this period, United provides a $140 weekly stipend, dual-occupancy hotel accommodations, and partial meal coverage. Upon successful completion of training and base orientation, graduates receive a $1,000 bonus and commence full-time employment at an assigned hub.

Operational Flexibility:
Maintain availability for 24/7 global assignments, including holidays, weekends, and nights. This role requires the ability to work reserve assignments and remain away from the base for extended periods.

Maintain a consistent track record of working effectively both independently and as part of a diverse crew.

Physical Demands:
Ability to perform tasks such as lifting luggage, operating emergency exits, pushing 250lb beverage carts, and reaching specified vertical and horizontal distances.
Candidate Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.

High school diploma or GED required; two or more years of college preferred.

Minimum of one year of experience in the service industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, education, or aviation).

Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding). Proficiency in a second language is highly desirable.

Possession of a valid passport (with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two blank pages) at the time of application.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and eligible to travel globally without restrictions.

Professional grooming standards, including adherence to uniform, tattoo, and piercing policies.

Must pass a 10-year criminal background check, DOT/FAA drug screens, and physical/vision/hearing assessments.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay:
Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88, scaling up to $67.11. Includes additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international assignments.
