Flight Attendant - Professional Opportunity
United Airlines, the world’s largest airline, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our growing team of over 30,000 flight attendants. This role offers the unique opportunity to travel the world while ensuring the safety and comfort of our global passengers. United provides comprehensive, industry-leading training, requiring no prior aviation schooling or college degrees.
Training and Onboarding
The successful candidate will undergo 6.5 weeks of initial training in Houston, Texas, covering safety and service standards. During this period, United provides a $140 weekly stipend, dual-occupancy hotel accommodations, and two meals per day. Upon successful completion of training and base orientation, graduates receive a $1,000 bonus and commence full-time employment at an assigned hub. Base locations include Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, and Washington Dulles.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age at the time of application.

High school diploma or GED (2+ years of college preferred).

At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry.

Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding). Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog) is highly desirable.

Possession of a valid passport book with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to travel globally without restrictions.

Must be able to pass a 10-year background check, DOT/FAA drug screens, and vision/hearing tests.

Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, reach, lift heavy objects, and pass a functional reach assessment (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal).

Professional appearance and grooming standards, including adherence to specific tattoo and piercing guidelines.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting hourly flight pay is $28.88, with a top-of-scale rate of $67.11. Seniority-based increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips apply.
