Your Role as a United Flight Attendant:

Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age at the time of application.
- High school graduate or equivalent, with a preference for two or more years of college coursework.
- Minimum one year of customer service experience in a service-oriented industry.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Proficiency in a second language is highly desirable.
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Professional appearance and grooming standards, adhering to United's uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines.
- Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices for work-related tasks.
- Valid passport with at least 18 months of remaining validity.
- Eligibility to travel globally without restrictions.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, and push and pull beverage carts.
- Successful completion of a functional reach assessment.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Willingness to serve and/or sell food and beverages, including alcohol, in a professional manner.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
Additional Expectations and Considerations:
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens.
- Successful completion of a 10-year background check.
- Successful demonstration of an evacuation drill in the water (pool) during training.
