- Extensive training program: Receive six and a half weeks of comprehensive training in Houston, TX, learning United's safety standards and customer service protocols. United provides a $140/week per diem, along with accommodations, breakfast, and lunch during training.

- Exceptional Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate in high-stress scenarios.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum age of 21 years at time of application.
- High school diploma or GED; two or more years of college preferred.
- At least one year of customer service experience in a service industry such as retail, hospitality, food service, teaching, aviation, or social services.
- Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding).
- Fluency in Japanese (speaking and reading).
- Ability to hear a wide range of sounds clearly.
- Professional appearance and adherence to United's uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines.
- Tattoos are not permitted on the head, hands, or neck. Tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, and feet must be no larger than a credit card and non-offensive in nature.
- Proficiency with electronic devices for completing assigned tasks.
- Valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining at the time of application.
- Ability to travel to and from all countries served by United Airlines without restrictions.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, push and pull a beverage cart, and pass a functional reach assessment.
- Willingness to serve and/or sell food and beverages, including alcohol, in a professional manner.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screenings, background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens. Medical and recreational marijuana use is prohibited.
Onboarding and Training:
- Flight attendant trainees must successfully complete a water evacuation drill during training.
- Successful training graduates will receive a $1,000 bonus.
