Qualifications:
- Minimum 21 years of age at the time of application.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; two or more years of college preferred.
- At least one year of customer service experience in a service industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, food, teaching/education, aviation, social service).
- Excellent communication skills, including clear, concise, and audible speech, and fluency in English. Proficiency in Japanese is mandatory.
- Ability to remain calm and communicate effectively in high-stress situations.
- Professional appearance, adhering to uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines. Tattoos are not permitted on the head, hands, or neck. Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, and feet must not exceed the size of a credit card or be covered by the uniform.
- Proficiency in operating electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops).
- Valid U.S. passport book or foreign passport book with applicable visas and at least 18 months of remaining validity at the time of application. Unrestricted global travel eligibility is mandatory.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting heavy objects, pushing a beverage cart, reaching overhead, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen, comprehensive background check, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and willing to work a flexible schedule supporting United's 24/7 operation.
