Position Overview: Flight Attendant
United Airlines, the world’s largest airline, is seeking dedicated professionals to join our team of over 30,000 flight attendants. Key Responsibilities

Prioritize safety as the primary operational objective.

Maintain availability for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and travel away from the home base for multiple days.

Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Operate electronic devices to complete required tasks.

Perform physical duties including, but not limited to: walking, kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting luggage, and pushing/pulling beverage carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay:
Starting hourly pay of $28.88, scaling up to $67.11/hour. Additional compensation available for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.

Bonus:
This is a bonus-eligible position (e.g., profit sharing). Graduates of the training program receive a $1,000 bonus.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum age: 21 years old at the time of application.

Education: High school diploma or GED required (2+ years of college preferred).

Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service experience in the service industry.

Language: Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) is required. Must be fluent in reading and speaking Hebrew.

Documentation: Must possess a valid passport with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages.

Legal: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and eligible to travel to all countries United serves without restrictions.

Physical/Medical: Ability to pass a functional reach assessment (76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal), satisfy FAA/DOT hearing and vision standards, and pass pre-employment DOT drug screens, 10-year background checks, and fingerprinting.

Grooming: Professional appearance required. Tattoos are prohibited on the head, hands, fingers, or neck. Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, and feet are permitted if they meet specific size and content restrictions.

Prohibitions: Decorative dental jewelry/adornments are not permitted. Marijuana use (medical or recreational) is prohibited.
Training and Onboarding
The successful candidate will complete 6.5 weeks of initial training in Houston, Texas. Following certification, the candidate will be assigned to one of our seven hubs (Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, or Washington Dulles) or other designated base locations. Relocation funds are not provided.
