Job Summary:
The Cabin Crew member is responsible for delivering outstanding service while upholding unwavering commitment to onboard safety and strictly adhering to all established procedures and regulations.
Key Duties:
- Prepares the cabin thoroughly before take-off, ensuring full compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Actively monitors the cabin throughout the duration of each flight, attending to passenger needs and ensuring safety.
- Compiles and submits accurate reports detailing any significant safety or non-safety incidents that occur during flights.
- Demonstrates a clear understanding and proficient execution of duties assigned to their specific position on board.
- Strictly adheres to all established airline and regulatory procedures and guidelines.
- Ensures the paramount safety and comfort of all passengers throughout their journey.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Holds a minimum qualification of a Diploma from a recognised Institution or possesses an IATA Airline Cabin Crew Certificate.
- A University Degree is considered a distinct advantage.
- Must be between the minimum age of 21 years and the maximum age of 32 years at the time of application.
- Meets the minimum height requirement of 160 cm (equivalent to 5.2 ft.).
- Achieves a minimum arm reach of 212 cm while standing on tiptoes.
- Possesses the ability to swim a distance of at least 25 meters unaided.
- Demonstrates fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Exhibits an outgoing personality combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of inspiring guests through innovative and attentive hospitality.
- Maintains excellent health and fitness levels, including a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI).
- Must be free from tattoos or body piercings, with the sole exception of one earring permitted in the lower lobe of each ear for female candidates only.
- Must be willing to comply fully with Uganda Airlines' medical and health screening requirements.
- Possesses a clean criminal record.
- Embodies a positive, confident, flexible, and friendly attitude.
- Is adaptable and thrives in diverse teams, different cultures, and fast-changing operational environments.
- Is comfortable working irregular hours and adhering to a rotating roster schedule.
