Job Summary

USAA is seeking a professional Aircraft Captain for its Part 91 corporate aviation operation. The Captain serves as the Pilot-in-Command (PIC), ensuring the safe, efficient operation of aircraft and providing concierge-level travel for executives. This role involves overseeing flight preparations, crew coordination, passenger comfort, and adherence to all FAA and company regulatory requirements, including administrative tasks such as scheduling, safety, and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate USAA corporate aircraft as pilot in command for domestic and international missions.
  • Ensure all flight operations comply with FAR Part 91 and USAA Flight Operations procedures.
  • Maintain communication with the Director of Flight Operations regarding aircraft and crew status.
  • Develop flight plans, including fuel load calculation, airport and maintenance coordination, and weather analysis.
  • Propose procedures and guidelines to support optimized aircraft operations.
  • Identify, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in alignment with compliance policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent relevant education and/or experience.
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 3,000 flight hours or a military aviation background.
  • 1,000 hours of multi-engine experience.
  • Valid Airline Transport License (ATP).
  • Current Second Class FAA Medical certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3,000 jet flight hours.
  • Capability to obtain and hold a First Class FAA Medical.
  • Proven international experience as a PIC.
  • Falcon 2000 EASy Type Rating.
  • Direct experience in a corporate or charter flight operation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $143,320.00 – $257,970.00. Compensation is determined based on experience and market data. Employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
