B-727 Captain
USA Jet, a leader in the North American air cargo industry and a division of Ascent Global Logistics, seeks a highly qualified Captain for its B-727 operations. This full-time position is based at Willow Run Airport in Belleville, MI.

Responsibilities
The Captain reports administratively to the Chief Pilot, while sharing operational control with the Director of Operations during 121 operations. The Captain has full authority over the assigned crew for 121 operations and is responsible for:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of each assigned flight, with final authority on dispatch based on regulatory requirements and company manuals.
- Maintaining command of the aircraft and crew, ensuring the safety of passengers, cargo, and crewmembers.
- Guaranteeing compliance with all FAA regulations, air carrier policies, preflight procedures, and operational specifications.
- Thoroughly reviewing weather and airport conditions prior to each flight.
- Monitoring in-flight meteorological conditions and facility irregularities.
- Confirming the legal certification, rest, and uniform compliance of all crew members.
- Verifying the aircraft is properly equipped with required charts, manuals, and functional equipment.
- Participating in the loading/unloading, distribution, and securing of cargo, ensuring weight and balance are within prescribed limits.
- For passenger operations, verifying weight and balance in accordance with all applicable FARs and the air carrier manuals.
- Ensuring that required aircraft inspections are completed and communication/navigation equipment is functional.
- Completing all required forms per FARs and USA Jet manuals.
- Conducting post-flight aircraft inspections, noting any abnormalities.
- Assisting other crew members as required.
- Acting as Customer Resolution Officer, resolving customer issues, and reporting occurrences to appropriate authorities.
- Sharing responsibility with the Director of Operations for the operational control of the flight.
- Documenting all discrepancies in the Flight Log or Irregularity Report Form.
- Performing the duties of In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with TSA requirements.
- Executing ground security requirements mandated by the TSA.
- Ensuring air cargo is accepted, inspected, loaded, and secured per domestic/international and company requirements.
- Actively participating in USA Jet’s Safety Programs and Safety Management System.
Qualifications
- Possession of all licenses and certificates as defined in USA Jet's manuals and FAA regulations.
- Completion of required training, checking, and qualifications as defined in USA Jet approved manuals.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
