We are a locally owned float plane operator with bases in Tofino, Sechelt and Nanaimo. We offer tours, charters and scheduled services around the beautiful West Coast of British Columbia.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic applicant to join our team this summer as a Pilot at our busy Tofino base. The ideal candidate will be safety oriented and have a customer first attitude, with excellent multi-tasking and time management skills. Working within a small, close-knit team means wearing many hats and jumping in where needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
– Valid Commercial Pilots License, Float Rating, CAT 1 Medical
– Minimum 300 Hours Seaplane PIC
– Previous DHC2/C180 and Coastal experience considered an asset
– Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
– Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
– Great work ethic
– Friendly and professional with a positive attitude
– Ability to multi-task and think outside the box
– Excellent problem-solving skills and conflict resolution experience
– Good time management and organizational skills
– Ability to take direction well with minimal supervision
– Proficiency in English
– Excellent and effective communication skills; both written and verbal
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to work individually, as well as in a team, in an unsupervised fast-paced environment
– Ability to lift 50lb
– Knowledge of Vancouver Island and surrounding areas an asset
– Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
This role starts mid-spring 2022. Wage is competitive and based on experience. Staff accommodation is available in Tofino and Sechelt. Complimentary staff flights available and Family Rate extended to immediate family, all on an availability basis.
