About the Role
The Site Lead is the senior on-site leader responsible for the delivery of a measurable, repeatable, and compliant maintenance training program at a Thrust Institute of Maintenance (TIM) campus. This role oversees instructional teams, academic quality, student outcomes, and FAA Part 147 operational compliance. The Site Lead acts as the first-line leader for the site's instructional team, holding accountability for all aspects of training delivery and facility operations.
Requirements

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate

Eligibility to serve as an FAA Part 147 instructor

Experience in first-line leadership, including scheduling, coaching, and maintaining team standards
Qualifications

Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred

Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in avionics, powerplant, or structures is preferred
About the Role

Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership & Academic Quality

Provide first-line leadership to the site's instructional team, managing instructor schedules, performance evaluations, coaching, and daily academic quality.

Deliver assigned course sections and labs to established standards, modeling exemplary teaching quality.

Maintain consistent student pass rates and learning outcomes across all site programs.
FAA Part 147 & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure the site's full compliance with FAA Part 147 regulations.

Maintain continuous audit readiness, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records to a zero-critical-finding standard.

Verify that all tools, equipment, and training aids meet required specifications and are properly maintained.
Delivery Capacity & Throughput

Manage instructor scheduling and site capacity to meet enrollment and completion goals without compromising training quality.

Monitor student time-to-completion and overall throughput, identifying and resolving any bottlenecks in the training process.

Collaborate with the Site Coordinator to ensure optimal availability of reservations, facilities, tooling, and equipment.
People & Talent Development

Recruit, onboard, evaluate, and develop instructors, building a skilled team aligned with TIM's instructor career progression model.

Coach Instructor I and II staff to prepare them for Senior Instructor and Lead-track readiness, prioritizing staff retention at the site.
