Captain (Pilot in Command): Global Aviation Operations

Position Summary: Highly Qualified Pilot in Command

The Pilot in Command (PIC) or Captain is an integral leadership position fundamentally responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient ground and in-flight operations of the assigned aircraft. This role demands exceptional professional judgment, adherence to the highest safety standards, and a dedication to superior customer service. A successful Captain will consistently exceed customer expectations while maintaining clear, effective, and professional communication with Leadership, Flight Team Members, and Dispatch personnel. Furthermore, the Captain is expected to thrive as a leader and mentor to their assigned First Officers, actively cultivating a corporate culture defined by insight, prestige, and unwavering operational authenticity.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Captain holds administrative responsibility to the Chief Pilot and is the ultimate authority for flight safety and efficiency. Key duties include:

  • Assuming primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft during all ground and flight phases.
  • Ensuring thorough completion of all pre-flight checklists and procedures.
  • Verifying the identity of all passengers prior to boarding the aircraft.
  • Providing effective training and mentorship to First Officers on assigned flights and aircraft types, promoting professional development.
  • Proactively anticipating and exceeding the sophisticated needs and expectations of our valued clientele.
  • Strictly complying with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, international aviation mandates, the company's General Operations Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and departmental operating procedures.
  • Maintaining continuous, high-quality communication and coordination with the assigned flight crew, dispatch, maintenance teams, and administrative personnel.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned by senior leadership or management to support evolving operational needs.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this prestigious aviation role. The most successful candidate will possess extensive experience in high-profile, long-haul international missions:

  • Possession of a current Pilot Certificate.
  • Must hold an active Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Permit.
  • Required minimum flight experience: 4,000 hours of total time, including at least 1,000 hours of multi-engine time served as Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • Proven prior experience executing overwater, long-haul, and complex international missions.
  • Mandatory possession of a valid, unexpired US Passport.
  • Must be eligible to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without any restrictions.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering prestigious levels of guest service, particularly with high-profile clients, requiring the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Current type rating in the applied aircraft is highly desired.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and embrace new operational challenges as the company expands.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination is required due to international travel mandates.

Residency Requirements

Candidates must reside in, or within a two-hour drive of, one of the following preferred gateway cities. Candidates residing in LAS (Las Vegas) are highly preferred:

  • California: SNA, VNY, BUR, LAX, ONT, LGB, SAN, OAK, SFO, SJC
  • Pacific Northwest: PDX, SEA
  • Southwest/Mountain West: PHX, ABQ, LAS, RNO, DEN
  • Texas/Midwest: DAL, DFW, AUS, DSM, IAH, HOU, ORD, PWK
  • Florida: PBI, FLL, MIA, TPA, MCO
  • Southeast/Mid-Atlantic: ATL, GSO, CLT
  • Northeast: TEB, LGA, EWR, JFK, BOS

Working Environment and Physical Demands

Physical Requirements

The Captain must successfully meet the following physical standards:

  • Must possess and maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to maintain a seated position in a constrained space for extended periods during flights.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without physical assistance.

Work Environment Characteristics

The Flight Crew position involves unique environmental factors:

  • Work is primarily conducted while seated for prolonged durations within the aircraft cockpit.
  • The role requires frequent interaction with customers and other flight crew members within a confined space.
  • The employee must be prepared for irregular work hours and potential short-notice callouts for flights or cancellations.
  • Due to the nature of international destinations and itineraries, the employee may be required to spend several weeks or more away from home based on business needs and scheduled trip durations.
