First Officer - Aviation Career Opportunity

The First Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operation of company aircraft. This professional is instrumental in exceeding customer expectations through clear, effective communication with leadership, team members, and dispatch, while upholding the highest standards of aviation practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer duties under the direction of the Chief Pilot.
  • Take primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, both on the ground and in flight.
  • Proactively anticipate and strive to exceed customer needs and expectations.
  • Strictly adhere to all FAA regulations, company General Operations Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and departmental operating procedures.
  • Maintain seamless communication and coordination with assigned crew members, dispatch, maintenance personnel, and administration.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1,000 hours of Fixed Wing Total Time.
  • 500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) Total Time.
  • A valid, unexpired United States Passport.
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
  • FCC Radio License.
  • Current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  • Eligibility for unrestricted international flight into any country or jurisdiction.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace new challenges during company growth.
  • Residency within 2 hours of KLAS or one of Thrive Aviation’s designated remote Crew Bases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1,500+ hours of Fixed Wing Total Time.
  • 50+ hours of Multi-Engine Time.
  • 500 hours of Total Turbine Time.
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Previous experience in Corporate Aviation or Part 135 Charter operations.
  • Current type rating for aircraft within the company's fleet.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to meet the physical demands necessary to perform the duties of a First Officer. This includes maintaining the FAA First Class Medical Certificate and the ability to remain seated in a confined space for extended periods.

Work Environment

This Flight Crew position involves extended periods of sitting. Employees will engage with customers and fellow crew members within a confined aircraft cabin. The role may require employees to be away from home for several days or weeks at a time. Irregular hours are expected, with potential for last-minute flight assignments or cancellations.
